Course Overview:

The HDA Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Training program is to equip Offshore Helideck Assistants with the knowledge, understanding, and skills required to perform an emergency response team member role in offshore Helideck and helicopter emergencies. The course is duly approved by the Department of Petroleum Resources. This HAD as a varied role which includes ensuring the Helideck platform is correctly prepared for helicopter movements including any signage and maintenance and that any breaches of health and safety are reported to the helicopter landing officer

Course Objectives:

The aims and objectives of the HDA Initial Training Programme are to equip the delegate with the initial knowledge, understanding, and skills required to perform the role of Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA) safely and effectively.

• Helideck emergency response pre-planning.
• Helideck and helicopter emergency systems and controls NUI HDA Emergency Response.
• NUI emergency response requirements Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM).
• Effective Communication
• HDA HERTM response in Helideck and helicopter emergencies.
• Firefighting
• Conduct BA Operations
